More than giving our members an efficient, affordable way to travel, DayJet is about connecting communities and delivering value to the people who call those communities home. Though we aspire to expand our service across the Southeast, and eventually the country, the greatest measure of our success will lie in being considered 'local' by the DayPort neighborhoods we serve.
Just as DayJet helps our members connect with their customers, business colleagues, friends, and family, we connect with and participate in public and private partnerships in order to be responsible corporate citizens for our communities and our planet. DayJet focuses on four carefully selected areas to help us connect with the communities we serve for maximum impact.

Economic Development
DayJet applies technology, processes, and capital to deliver a convenient, high-quality travel experience at an affordable price. The result is we're a positive economic force in the communities we connect, creating high-skill, high-wage jobs and purchasing goods and services locally. We also participate in programs including:
- Building Success - We partner with state, county, and city economic development organizations in support of their vision and growth goals.
- Member of the Team - We participate in trade missions and recruiting activities to attract new investment and create more high-skill, high-wage jobs in our DayPort communities.
- Civic Leadership - We provide ongoing support of state and local chambers of commerce.
Environment
DayJet is serious about environmental stewardship. Years before we began flying our fleet of very light jets (VLJs), we worked closely with our suppliers to ensure that our aircraft were optimally designed to generate the lowest carbon emissions for the types of missions we fly. As a result, our fleet of VLJs are the quietest, least polluting aircraft available. Our multi-faceted platform focuses on addressing the environmental impact of the company's fleet, both today and tomorrow. Our key initiatives include:
- Next Generation Air Transportation System - DayJet flies the newest, most environmentally friendly fleet in the skies today and is a leader in implementing next-generation aircraft and navigation technologies to further reduce carbon, noise and energy.
- Take a Flight, Plant a Tree - With our partners, we plant a tree each time a DayJet ticket is sold.
- One Village, One Planet - We take part in conservation initiatives not just in our local communities, but also around the world, from Haiti to Africa, in partnership with One Village Planet. That may seem odd for a regional, on-demand air carrier, but that's the point - the environment connects us all.
- Discovery of New Solutions - Planting trees helps, but it is not enough if we are going to work toward a solution to the environmental and ecological issues we all face. We're actively engaged in alternative aviation fuel research.
Education
We call it "Fueling the Next Generation", a commitment to energizing young people to pursue careers in math and science. These activities include:
- In-School Programs - Students learn best when they make the connections between science, aeronautical engineering, flight, and the environment in hands-on experiences with materials, airplanes, and even by planting trees. We work with local schools to raise awareness of our entrepreneurial approach to aviation, the technologies we use, and environmental stewardship.
- The Future of Flight - We support aviation youth programs at local airports through groups such as www.youngeagles.org.
- Entrepreneurship - The Next Generation. We sponsor entrepreneurial educational programs, such as Junior Achievement
Entrepreneurship
As entrepreneurs ourselves, DayJet is dedicated to fostering the entrepreneurial spirit and supporting new initiatives. This includes our sponsorship of entrepreneurial educational programs - by focusing on the next generation of entrepreneurs, we help stimulate future economic growth. We also work with business and community leaders, helping to support entrepreneur opportunities in every DayPort community where we fly.
