Higher standards are our standard.

DayJet™ is certified by the Federal Aviation Administration for Part 135 on-demand operations—which means we operate on no one else's timetable but yours. To ensure that our operations are as safe and thorough as possible, we've chosen to meet the higher standards demanded of scheduled airlines for pilot training and aircraft maintenance.
It's not surprising that DayJet has earned the industry's highest recognitions for safety, including ARG/US Gold and Wyvern ratings. These ongoing audit approvals are due to strict adherence to training, regulatory guidelines and operating standards that exceed many established industry standards.
10,000 hours of flight experience. We consider that a good start.
DayJet is a career destination for pilots, allowing us to choose from the very best. And we do, putting two Captain-level pilots on every single flight, even though we could meet safety standards by flying with just one. Though each DayJet pilot must have a minimum of 3,000 hours of flight time experience (including 1,000 flight hours as pilot-in-command and 500 flight hours as pilot-in-command of a turbo-jet), our pilots currently average more than 10,000 flight hours each.
Earning their wings: the making of a DayJet pilot.
Once a pilot joins the DayJet team, the making of a DayJet pilot begins. Each pilot must pass a rigorous, 25-day flight training program. Training begins with ground school orientation on DayJet's vision, values and passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences in addition to Part 135 indoctrination, Eclipse systems training, crew resource management, medical emergency procedures and customer service training. Then our pilots take to the skies, completing intensive flight training in the Eclipse 500™ using the most advanced FAA Industry Training Standards (F.I.T.S.) scenario-based training to enhance aeronautical decision making and risk management skills.
The happiest pilots around
We wouldn't be much of a company if we prided ourselves in getting customers home to their families, but then didn't do the same for our employees. DayJet pilots work in shifts—that's unique to this industry—so they benefit from same-day travel just like our customers.
Each of our pilots fly a maximum of eight-hours per shift, and no longer. Industry standards allow pilots to be scheduled for up to 14-hour shifts; DayJet standards don't. Because we've set this higher standard for ourselves, we tend to attract a higher standard of pilot. This approach is great if you're a pilot, and even better if you're a DayJet member.

The highest standards in the air. And on the ground.
To ensure our operations are as safe and thorough as possible, DayJet™ has chosen to go well beyond maintenance safety standards established by the FAA for light jet aircraft. We maintain our fleet according to the stringent Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Program (CAMP) used by the major air carriers. Following guidelines for much larger transport category aircraft, the program delivers a higher level of safety and security for our passengers and crew.
Day in, day out, DayJet maintenance is an everyday occurrence.
At every level, DayJet's commitment to safe and reliable operations is evident. Many on-demand air carriers dispatch aircraft and crews for days or weeks at a time, with no scheduled maintenance until the plane returns. By contrast, our aircraft are proactively checked every night. Because our fleet is maintained each and every night when they fly home, we can immediately address mechanical issues and proactively monitor the condition of each aircraft. To deliver a high level of dispatch reliability, DayJet assigns maintenance technicians for every aircraft in the fleet to perform routine line checks.
Our state-of-the-art fleet is perfectly matched to our state-of-the-art maintenance operations.
DayJet leverages investments in systems and technology to maximize the performance of our fleet. Our proprietary real-time operations system automates maintenance records and events. Each aircraft houses two fully redundant main computers; DayJet maintenance professionals upload and download maintenance information to the aircraft regularly. Our industry-standard maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) system streamlines processes to make our network more effective and efficient.
Top-flight maintenance team.
The DayJet maintenance team is made up of professionals with extensive backgrounds in aircraft maintenance, quality assurance and logistics management. We employ only FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certified technicians with a minimum of five years of turbine-powered aircraft experience. Currently, the average experience level is greater than ten years. And that experience is paying off: DayJet has earned the FAA Diamond Certificate of Excellence for the past two consecutive years, the highest level of recognition given for aviation technical training.

Smart and powerful. No wonder it's the aircraft of business travel.
Though small, the Eclipse 500 is a powerful performer with a 3,314 feet-per-minute rate of climb. In simple terms, the aircraft reaches maximum altitude–and therefore speed–quickly, getting you to your destination that much faster or easily maneuvering around weather. The aircraft cruises at a brisk 425 miles per hour, turning short-haul (600 nautical miles) regional business trips into quick one- to two-hour hops.
The safety features of the Eclipse 500 integrated cockpit rival technology found in the world's most advanced military aircraft and the newest commercial jet airliners. The Eclipse 500 advanced AVIO™ avionics system greatly reduces pilot workload by simplifying tasks, generating information and managing systems.
Like riding in a luxury auto (without the rush-hour traffic).
DayJetting is as comfortable as it is exhilarating. The interior is about the size of a minivan, but with the comfort and design of a luxury auto. You'll relax in a leather seat that's been thoughtfully staggered to allow more legroom and eliminate competing for the armrest. And because there are only three seats, you won't have to specify an aisle or window seat–everyone gets both.
Soft on the environment, too.
The Eclipse 500 is designed to make those outside the aircraft comfortable, too. Powered by twin turbofan engines from Pratt & Whitney Canada, the PW610F engine makes the Eclipse 500 the quietest jet in the world–a full 40 decibels lower than the FAA's Stage 4 noise requirements. And it's not only the noise emissions that are low; tests show that the PW610F engines register a smoke number (SN) of less than five–that's 10 times less than the regulatory limit.
